A stand-alone version of collective card game (CCG) that debuted in the bestselling RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, by CD Project RED, and quickly became acknowledged as one of the best minigames in history. In Gwent: The Witcher Card Game players compete against each other with progressively collected decks of cards from five different factions. As in most CCG, the gameplay is turn-based, but quite unusually, the player’s objective is to gather more attack points than opponent. Cards are placed in three different rows, respectively for melee soldier, ranged units and siege machines like catapults. Our army’s strength can be both increased and decreased with special cards, unique skills of commanders or weather effects. Aside from complex multiplayer mode, the game also offers an episodic story campaign.

The game is based on free-to-play model with optional microtransactions, which means that although you can play Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft for free, some elements require payment.

A digital adaptation of a popular collectible card game, Yu-Gi-Oh!, which originates from the manga of the same title. It was developed by Konami and presents further adventures of Yugi, a boy well-known to all fans of the franchise, who collects the Duel Monsters cards and is deeply fascinated with this game (which involves battles between various summoned creatures). His obsession leads to a chain of surprising events — the emissaries of evil will materialize the monster cards in the real world and use Yugi’s skills to achieve their wicked goals. The protagonist’s task is to defeat his opponents and save the world from certain doom. Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Yugi the Destiny was designed to be as faithful as possible to the rules and other aspects of the real game, so the battles fought in-game actually do not differ from those fought in the real world. The advanced artificial intelligence makes our enemies react adequately to our moves as well as take initiative when possible.

In the game, we once again assume the role of Yugi Muto. This time around, the protagonist has to face his nemesis, Kaiba, and fight subsequent duels in the locations known from the TV series, all belonging to the sinister Kaiba Corporation. Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Kaiba the Revenge offers more than 300 new cards that allow the player to build even mightier decks. During a duel we can apply various combinations and tactics — from straightforward monster attacks to setting traps and casting spells that deprive our enemies of initiative. The game retains the visuals style characteristic of the animated TV series. The game boasts an enhanced artificial intelligence, intuitive interface as well as an extensive tutorial for beginners.

Game is played on a specially prepared interactive board and the plot is set in the titular Naxxramas necropolis, known from the World of Warcraft game. When traversing five districts of the city we encounter completely new bosses, such as spider Maexxna or an undead monster called Loatheb. To defeat the antagonists armed with powerful special abilities, the expansion introduces a set of completely new cards, representing, among others, new skills. What is worth noting, cards gained in the course of the campaign can be used also during online matches in the Arena. A new installment of an unusual RPG from Defiant Development, enriched with board and card game elements. Similarly to its predecessor, the player is tasked with taking on the challenges created using cards rolled by a magical enemy, called The Dealer. Thanks to the efforts of the previous protagonist, he was defeated, but the hero was0 corrupted by his own power, and became a bloodthirsty tyrant. The Dealer returns to train a new hero, capable of facing his predecessor. The overall idea for the gameplay had remains unchanged, but a number of new elements have been introduced. Hand of Fate 2 introduces an additional plane to the game map, instigating more situations with potential encounters – that part of the game received additional requirements such as time-oriented objectives. Aside from that, our hero doesn’t have to be alone anymore – we received an ability to recruit comrades, and create a party.

A multiplayer game with MOBA elements from the Finnish Supercell studio, set in a universe of one of the mobile bestsellers – Clash of Clans. Same as there, we play as a ruler whose ambitions go beyond the borders of his country. Gameplay of Clash of Royale comes down to taking part in online skirmishes with other players to overthrow the opposing king. Battles are fought in very simplified form and take place on small arenas, which fit entirely on the smartphone’s or tablet’s screen. During the battles, we send offensive units along set paths, while also making sure to secure our own domain with various spells and defensive units and buildings. The mechanics are complemented by card game features, and the time between fights is spent on collecting the strongest possible deck of cards, each representing the respective units and actions (e.g. casting spells).
