Project Temporality is the first game in the achievements of the independent studio Defrost Games, founded in 2010 by a former employee of Massive Entertainment. The source of inspiration for developers are the Portal series and logical games emphasizing the ability to manipulate time and space.

Project Temporality takes place in the future. According to the theory of British astrophysicist Martyna J. Fogg of mankind manages to "set on fire" Jupiter, and the moons orbiting around it are transformed into inhabitable planets. What is important, unlike the Earth, on most of them it is possible to manipulate time.

The main hero of the game is a tester bearing the number 87. Its task is to check the possibilities of time travel technology on one of the distant military bases in Jupiter's system. In the course of the game, the player discovers not only ways to use the futuristic brain implant TP-205, but also threads related to the character's story.

The game focuses on manipulating time and coordinating actions. The player is free to scroll back, forward, accelerate or slow down, and can also create temporary parallel branches of the event lines and the clones of their own character assigned to them. In many cases this is the only way to complete the task (e.g. a clone should be placed in the field opening the door or activating some mechanism, so that the main hero can go further).

The visual layer of Project Temporality is the responsibility of Defrost Games' own engine. However, many elements of the three-dimensional graphic environment clearly refer to such series as Portal or LEGO Star Wars.
