Ananta Description
Project Mugen is a free-to-play action RPG. It was developed by Naked Rain and published by NetEase.
Plot
Project Mugen is set in a futuristic universe, where urban legends mix with reality and people exist alongside supernatural phenomena. We play as an Esper, an outstanding detective, traversing giant cities in search of dangerous anomalies. She teams up with other fellow investigators along the way, facing threats by their side.
Mechanics
Project Mugen is a third-person game set in mostly procedurally generated open cities (though they feature some manually created areas as well). We can traverse the streets on foot and in vehicles. On foot, our character can easily overcome obstacles through parkour and grapple all over the city.
As we traverse the world, we complete quests, meet other Espers we can recruit (all with unique personalities and backstories) and face down enemies. Combat is fast-paced, requiring constant movement, fighting in melee and at range, and using our various abilities. We can also make use of the environment; many objects can be destroyed or used, expanding the range of our possibilities.
Technical aspects
Project Mugen features colorful, high-quality visuals and a manga-like artstyle. The character designs, animations and detailed locations are all very appealing.
