Project Legion

Project Legion is an MMO shooter maintained in the climates of science fiction. The title is based on a free model with micropayments and was developed by the CCP studio. The project uses some elements of the Dust 514 console, but only as a foundation and in practice it is a completely new production.

The game is set in the same science-fiction universe as the MMORPG EVE Online. The action takes place 21,000 years ago, in a distant galaxy, where humanity entered through a tunnel in space-time discovered by accident. Our civilization used it to rapidly expand into new territories. After some time, however, the tunnel collapsed. Without it, the colonizers were forever cut off from the rest of human civilization and had to create their own order. They did not reconstruct the old division into nations whose place was taken by large corporations. EVE Online deals with space events affecting the galaxy as a whole, while Project Legion focuses on fighting on planetary surfaces. Both games are merged and the actions of players in one title have serious consequences in another and vice versa.

In terms of gameplay, Project Legion is a classic FPS game enriched with strong MMO elements. Starting the game, players create their own character, which they then develop with experience points. Most of the fun consists in fighting typical shooting battles, using numerous futuristic gadgets as well as combat vehicles and flying machines. The maps are impressive in size and can be enjoyed by large groups of players. An additional attraction is the ability to play the role of commander, who coordinates the team's activities and supports it, providing it with the necessary supplies in key elements.

The authors have prepared several game modes. The main ones are the so-called lease contracts, in the form of matches with clearly defined conditions of victory and strictly defined teams. For those who prefer more freedom, we have prepared the option of scanning the EVE Online universe in search of planets with valuable resources. Their surfaces are sandbox zones where we can face other users or fight enemies controlled by artificial intelligence. In addition, user-managed corporations can organise their own tournaments with valuable prizes.
