Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call is the next installment of a well-known series of logical adventures about the fate of the title character and his companions. The production was created by Level 5 studio, which is responsible for all of Professor Layton's adventures. The Japanese developer is also known for many other recognized titles (Jeanne d'Arc,White Knight Chronicles).

Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call is an introduction to the series and takes place three years before its first edition, Professor Layton and the Curious Village. In the production we learn how Professor Layton met his companion Luke, with whom he later experienced many adventures and solved a lot of riddles. Layton, Luke and Emmy, an assistant professor at the university, have to deal with difficult puzzles to explain the legend of the mysterious spirit haunting a town.

In the next installment of the saga we will find everything to which we are accustomed to in the previous parts. During the adventure we travel through different locations and look for clues. The main attraction in the game are of course puzzles, puzzles, puzzles, puzzles and other logical challenges that accompany Layton at every step. All this has been developed in a style typical of the series, reminiscent of a very well produced animated film.

An interesting addition is the London Life mini-game, which can be unlocked when your adventure is over. Special mode is only available in the American version of the game.
