Pro Rally 2002 PS2

Improved version of Pro Rally 2001, one of the most interesting racers of that period. We are dealing with a relatively realistic and demanding driving simulator, dealing with the subject of highly popular rallies. It can therefore be concluded that this product resembles in many respects games such as Colin McRae Rally, Rally Masters, or Rally Championship. At the end of 2002 this game was officially and even more extensive conversion for the Gamecube console. UbiSoft is responsible for the production of Pro Rally 2002.

This production has several very different modes of fun to offer. Less experienced players will certainly be interested in the presence of the rally school. It is not very extensive, but it allows you to get to know the correct cornering, or the behaviour of different types of machines (e.g. front wheel drive or 4x4). Arcade mode was also prepared, in which several important changes were applied. We compete directly with other players, trying to reach the next checkpoints within a strict time limit. You can also count on a very simplified driving model.

The key point of the programme, however, is the extensive championships in which we take part in a series of rallies. There are a total of 48 special sections, scattered all over the world. We compete on sand, mud, snow or hot asphalt. All this, of course, forces the player to adjust the parameters of the machine to the conditions prevailing on the road. It is also possible to get better parts that make the machine faster or better at sharp corners. We race against time, of course. After the end of the rally, the drivers receive points which are added to the general classification. We have at our disposal 20 licensed rally cars, from such manufacturers as Ford, Citroen or Subaru. Visually the game looks good. The environment is quite complex and the rally machines are subject to realistic damage. There is a possibility of complete destruction of the vehicle, as a result of which further fun will not be possible.
