Prime Arena is an online battle game by Russian studio Nival. The production utilizes a free-to-play model with microtransactions and is a blend of two genres: MOBA and battle royale. The influence of the first one is mostly seen in the bird's eye point of view, the presence of AI-controlled units, and a large gallery of playable characters with unique characteristics and special abilities.

Prime Arena Description
Prime Arena is a PC-based online battle game that combines MOBA and battle royale elements. The title uses a freemium model and was developed by the Russian studio Nival, known from Silent Storm, Heroes of Might and Magic V, Evil Islands or the Etherlords and Blitzkrieg series.
Story
As the title suggests, Prime Arena is set in the same fantasy universe as several previous Nival games, such as Prime World or Prime World: Defenders. The plot does not play any role in the title except for providing a bio to the playable characters.
Mechanics
Prime Arena looks like a typical MOBA. The game offers only multiplayer battles, bird's eye view and several dozen heroes to choose from, each of which has unique features and special abilities. On the map, apart from the players, there are also units controlled by AI.
However, the rules governing online rivalry have been taken from the battle royale model. The game takes place until only one person is left alive. Almost every alliance is only temporary and sooner or later ends in betrayal. In addition, as time passes, the area available to the players is slowly shrinking, forcing more and more frequent confrontations.
Technical aspects
Prime Arena offers eye-catching visuals maintained in the fairytale-like fantasy style full of bright colors.
