PowerUp Heroes allows you to pit your Xbox Live avatars against one another. Virtual characters of players become superheroes and battle supervillains in flashy duels full of special effects and superpowers.

The Longtail Studios production lets you play as one of twelve different characters. Each of them uses a different combat style. Defeating an opponent results in acquiring his abilities and armor, which makes your avatar more powerful. Gaining experience allows your character to progress and unlock new moves.

The developers made it possible to duel a live opponent. PowerUp Heroes also features a co-op mode for two people via the Internet or locally against the AI.

Characters you control are actually the avatars taken directly from Xbox 360 interface, clad in special armor. To play PowerUp Heroes, it is necessary to use Kinect controller, as the controls system is based on motion and gestures.
