Official game supplement to Bullfrog's Populous game, introducing to the game five completely new scenes: Block Land, Silly Land, Wild West, Bit Plains and Revolution Francaise, as well as 500 new maps to play in Conquest mode.

Populous: The Promised Lands is the official add-on to Populous, a strategy game released by Electronic Arts in 1989 and the first major success of the British studio Bullfrog, founded two years earlier by Les Edgar and Peter Molyneux.

Mechanics

The expansion doesn't introduce any changes in both the graphics and the mechanics, concentrating entirely on completely new content which significantly extends the time spent on being a god. In The Promised Lands, we can prove our divine destiny in five completely new scenarios, such as Block Land, Silly Land, Wild West, Bit Plains and Revolution Francaise. With the help of the in-game editor, we can create our maps and scenarios. But that's not all, because we can also play on five hundred different maps in Conquest mode.
