A pool game with improved graphics, released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Pool Nation FX offers a few dozen of local and network game modes. Additionally, the game features an advanced tutorial that can be very helpful in learning how to play but also how to perform more difficult tricks. The career mode, which is very complex, is the core of the game.

Pool Nation FX, released on PS4 and XONE, is an improved version of a popular pool game, in which players can face both real and AI-controlled players. The game, first released at the end of 2012 on Xbox Live, is the first title from a British studio called CherryPop Games.

Game modes

Pool Nation FX offers a few dozen of local and network game modes. In addition to that the game has an advanced tutorial that can be very helpful in learning how to play but also how to perform more difficult tricks. The career mode, which is very complex, is the core of the game. There, players can engage in various types of pool and face enemies that become more and more difficult. By making progress we unlock new pool tables, pool cues and new sets of pool balls. We can also test our skills in various singleplayer and local multiplayer (playing with friends on the same machine) modes. Endurance is one of the more interesting game modes. Its goal is to win subsequent matches but, at the same time, we must win them during a certain amount of time. The multiplayer mode, with social media options, is one of the most important parts of Pool Nation. Up to eight players can participate in matches.

Technical aspects

The graphics engine created by the developers themselves offers fully 3D graphics. Thanks to that all interiors and pool tables have a lot of details. Realistic physics is also a highlight. The most notable aspect of Pool Nation FX, when compared to the previous game, is that the graphics are now improved and in HD resolution. The game also offers new locations and game modes as well as special tricks editor, in which we can create our own pool tricks.
