Polarity is a puzzle game that combines the perspective and movement known from FPS production with gameplay mechanisms based mainly on solving puzzles. Most puzzles require the reversing power to manipulate the environment.
Polarity is a puzzle game with a view from the first person's perspective. The production was developed by BlueButton Games studio, for which it is a debut project.
We will play the role of a hacker, and our main task is to break into virtual worlds and steal valuable data from them. The authors were not strong on the extended feature layer - the script is only a pretext to put us before a series of increasingly difficult logical challenges.
The action in the game is presented from the perspective of the first person and the movement resembles traditional FPS productions. The only difference is that here we are dealing not with shooting, but with solving riddles. The creators took full advantage of the Portal series, although at the same time the gameplay mechanisms were enriched with elements taken from the Ikaruga shooter. The hero can turn colors and we use this power to activate gates, avoid deadly lasers and solve puzzles. There was no shortage of platform elements, in which we have to demonstrate considerable dexterity in avoiding traps and obstacles.
Polarity offers 20 levels in a single player campaign. At the same time, there is also a separate mini-campaign specifically designed for cooperative mode. An additional attraction is the handling of Oculus Rift virtual reality glasses.
