The add-on takes place under the surface of Norrath. According to the legends, an ancient artifact that provides its owner with supernatural abilities is hidden there. There are forty locations waiting to be explored in EverQuest: Lost Dungeons of Norrath, including Deepest Guk, Takish-Hiz and Mistmoore Catacombs.
