Platoon: The 1st Airborne Cavalry Division in Vietnam is a tactical real-time strategy produced by Digital Reality. The player takes on the role of a soldier of the title unit of the United States army and commands small troops in various military operations. Success in the performance of particular tasks depends on the ability to use the strengths of your own soldiers and the weaknesses of the opponents.

Platoon: The 1st Airborne Cavalry Division in Vietnam is a real-time strategy in which the player becomes a young American soldier serving in Vietnam (1965-1968) in the First Air Cavalry Division. Initially, he is an ordinary recruit, but by carrying out further missions he gains experience and advancement in the military hierarchy, and finally as a lieutenant he takes command of the whole platoon (up to 30 soldiers). A total of 15 combat missions were prepared for the passage. Under our command there are various soldiers, i.e. snipers, sappers, commandos, machine gun service, etc.; and all the equipment at that time, including helicopters, M113 armoured transporters and M48 Patton tanks. The success of any task depends on the skilful use of these weapons and possible artillery and airborne support. The experience of soldiers also plays a significant role, growing with the number of completed missions.
