A mobile strategy game, developed by SavySoda studio, in which we command the crew of a spaceship. The action of Pixel Starships is set in the distant future, when mankind mastered the technology necessary for unhampered interstellar travels. We assume the role of the captain of a spaceship setting out on an expedition to unexplored regions of space, and our task is to discover new planets and races, and above all, to keep the ship's crew alive.
Pixel Starships for AND and iOS is a mobile strategy, in which we command a crew of a spacecraft. Title was developed by the SavySoda studio.
Story
Action of Pixel Starships for AND and iOS is set in the distant future, when mankind mastered a technology required for long distance interstellar travels. We take control over a captain of a mighty star ship, which, together with the crew embarks on a journey into unexplored regions of space. During our adventures we discover new planets and races, but our priority is to always keep the crew alive.
Gameplay
During the game we have to give orders to our subordinates and take care of maintaining ship's efficiency, in particular life-support systems installed on it. It is necessary to visit alien planets, gather resources and fight stellar battles. Developers did not forget about a development system either, in which individual characters gain experience and learn new skills. There is also a possibility to modify and upgrade the ship itself.
Interestingly, players do not have to play solo. Instead, authors prepared a MMORPG mode, which allows hundreds of players to participate in cosmic adventures on a single server. Captains can work together or compete for the most valuable achievements trophies.
During the game a standard view depicts the whole ship in a vertical cross-section, and we can clearly see what is going on in every room and with every subordinate. Game was made in a retro style full of large pixels.
