Cube Life: Pixel Action Heroes Description
Pixel Action Heroes is an FPS developed by independent studio Cypronia. The game launched on Nintendo Wii U in 2017 (as Cube Life: Pixel Action Heroes), and a year later it appeared on Nintendo Switch.
Mechanics
In Pixel Action Heroes we observe the action from first-person perspective. Although the game features an extensive character editor, in which we can create our hero, it is worth getting to know the characters prepared by the devs. We're talking about parodies of toughguys known from action cinema, dishing out iconic one-liners;including such personalities as Arnold Weisenberg, Steamin' Senegal, Wayne Thomson, Bruise Leaf or All Cappuccino.
The struggles in which, regardless of the selected mode, our task is to eliminate anyone who stands in our way, take place on various destructible maps; in addition, the devs enable us to create our own arenas. During the game, we make use of an extensive arsenal of firearms, including pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles and shotguns.
Game modes
The pillar of Pixel Action Heroes is the multiplayer mode where two (on split-screen) or six (via the Internet, which is only possible on Nintendo Switch) players can compete. For solo fun, there is the campaign in which we have to face hordes of zombies and defeat powerful bosses.
Technical aspects
Three-dimensional visuals of Pixel Action Heroes are based on voxels, which evokes associations with the visuals of the famous Minecraft.
