Nothing is like it used to be ever since the universe is not expanding anymore. Fundamental laws of physics humans have relied on for centuries do not apply anymore. Planets have stopped moving and begun to crumble away into the endless nothing below. Humans are driven to the outer edges of the universe in hope to find a new home. One of these territories is New Horizons, where humans clash with the not-so-happy native Alien inhabitants. But refugees are not the only ones who migrate to this particular piece of sky. Attracted by the precious contents that the crumbling planets lay bare, sky pirates roam the void on the lookout for treasures ready for the taking...
This game follows the story of the pirate girl Annha. Having spent most of her childhood on board of a pirate ship, her acrobatic skills are only surpassed by her kleptomanic tendencies. After her crewmates are captured, she embarks on a piratical cruise on her own. Her only goal: to become filthy rich. On her journey she meets a genius but very excentric cat, quite upset native inhabitants and plenty of dangerous robots that guard the treasures of New Horizons. Determined, self-reliant, but also fairly oblivious to the dramatic events that surround her, Annha has to find out that her personal fate and that of the rest of the universe is much more intertwined than she really likes...
Features:
The best of both worlds!
We love to play 3D Jump'n Runs and Action Adventures, so in that sense Pirates of New Horizons is a love child of these two genres. You can collect coins and double-jump across gorges just as much as you can purchase upgrades and use special items. On top of this, the game is set in a unique universe that mixes colonial times and science-fiction to let you pursue the sweet trade like no other game has done before.
There is a gadget for that!
In order to solve the puzzles and get past those who stand between you and the treasures of New Horizons, you will have to put your inventory of gadgets to best use. Items at your disposal include a flintlock that can shoot around corners, a shovel that nullifies gravity, a grappling hook and a jetpack that will take you to lofty heights in addition to 5 other spaced out gadgets.
Show me your moves!
Kick, jump, swing, surf, fly, swim, stomp, ... your way through New Horizons, unlock new abilities, upgrade your combat moves and customize your combos!
