Another installment in a series of logic games; it was created specifically for Nintendo 3DS. The player's goal here is to paint appropriate cubes in such a way so that models hidden inside of them can be revealed. The game was based on the rules of a puzzle created by Non Ishida - a Japanese graphics designer. Although the gameplay resembles Minesweeper for PC, the environments are three-dimensional.

Picross 3D Round 2 is the next installment of the series of logical games released on 3DS. Compared to the previous part of the series, this game features two new colors as well as more complex models hidden in particular puzzles.

Mechanics

Picross 3D Round 2 develops the ideas found in the first installment. The core of the gameplay is to paint individual fields of solids composed of cubic blocks to reveal the models hidden inside. The whole thing is based on the rules of a puzzle created by Japanese graphic artist Non Ishida, and the fun can be compared to Minesweeper, known from PC, transferred to a three-dimensional environment. The figure can be freely rotated, and the digits visible on individual blocks indicate how many adjacent cubes the player have to paint with a given color.
