Phobos: 1953 is a prequel to a Russian thriller entitled Phobos, which was released in May. A psychological adventure game takes us to a mysterious bunker, where KGB companions conducted experiments on the limitations of the human mind.

Phantomery Interactive, developer of Sublustrum (Outcry), in cooperation with CP Digital and cinema company Art-Pictures announces a new psychological adventure project. The first episode of the game under the title Phobos: 1953 is prequel for a Russian thriller Phobos, which is going to be on the screen in May, 2009. The action of the film takes place in nowadays, at a night club located in the former military underground shelter. The characters of the film turn out to be in the closed space deep underground, where they are to face different manifestations of irrational phobias.

The plot of the game is based on real developments of the Ministry of State Security of the USSR (the former KGB) in the field of researches of possibilities limitations of human beings, telepathy, and scare impact on the human organism. The gamer turns out to be in the underground shelter where there is laboratory that used prisoners as materials in its researches. He is to learn the truth about scaring events, that took place in 1953 and that were the course of personnel liquidation and the whole complex preservation.
