Pepper's Adventures in Time

Pepper's Adventures in Time is an educational adventure that will allow you to play the role of Pepper Pumpernickel - a small, intelligent girl. The plot of the program focuses on the time travel machine, created by the crazy Dr. Fred. Its use has caused a great deal of confusion in the distant history of the United States, which could have disastrous consequences for the people who live today. Pepper, who together with her dog used the services of a time machine, has to repair all errors in the past and in particular take care of the famous scientist, Benjamin Franklin.

As far as the user interface is concerned, the game at first glance does not differ from other Sierra productions from that time. Pepper is controlled by several standard icons: walking, conversation, watching, lifting and using objects. The situation changes when the program will allow us to move the dog of a girl named Lockjaw. Four-legged animals, as we know, do not store items in the inventory, but they can sniff, bury in the ground or bite. In a few moments, the use of these skills will be crucial for the further development of the action. In addition, two other icons are available all the time. The first one is of an educational nature and informs the player whether the things he encounters are true to historical truth. We must honestly admit that this is the strongest point of the game. At any time we can test the object we are interested in and find out, for example, that the 18th century windows of warehouses were not glazing because they were monstrously expensive. There are plenty of such tastes and it is worth spending some time on them, especially as the curiosities are very informative. The last icon is a quiz. In the course of the game, please find the answers to the following questions. At the end of each act, the program will check if you have succeeded in doing so. If the answers are correct, you will be able to start the game in the next stage without fear.
