The next installment of the famous series of logic-arcade games, and at the same time the first of the series released in the free-to-play model. While playing, we destroy colorful objects by shooting balls at them and using the unique abilities of the characters, among which we will find, among others, octopus, hamster and snail.
Peggle Blast, released on AND and iOS, is the next installment of one of the most famous casual games series, developed by PopCap team belonging to Electronic Arts. We play the role of various animals shooting with balls to colorful targets on the stage.
Mechanics
Peggle Blast doesn't differ much from the original Peggle. The small stages are full of colorful elements and our main task is to destroy those in orange. We should also try to shoot other colors to gain more points. The task isn't easy, however, because we have a limited number of balls, which we shoot from the top of the screen. Fortunately, our character (e.g. octopus, unicorn, hamster, bird or snail) has different powers that make the task a little easier. In order to activate them, you have to hit the appropriate field. In addition, a small basket is moving at the bottom of the stage. If our ball falls into it, it goes to the queue, thanks to which we gain an additional shot.
Technical aspects
Peggle Blast is the first installment of the series released in a free-to-play model. With the help of microtransactions, we can buy bonuses and special balls, as well as accelerate energy regeneration, which allows us to play more.
