RPG 06 March 2014

A cRPG game based on the popular adult animated TV series South Park. South Park: The Stick of Truth was co-developed by Obsidian Entertainment and the creators of the original animated series – Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The player assumes the role of a kid who, together with his parents, just moved in to the titular town and tries to win his peers’ sympathy. Shared LARP (Live Action Role Playing), in which Cartman and his friends take part, gives the hero a chance to prove himself.

The third part of the series of tactical shooters, the action of which is set before the events presented in the first and second installments of the cycle. I.G.I. Origins was developed by the Toadman Interactive studio.

An action RPG set in a dark science-fiction world, developed by the German team Deck 13 – the co-creators of Lords of the Fallen. The story shows a dystopian vision of the future, where human technology turned against its creators, plunging the planet into chaos. We play as an ordinary citizen, who, like everyone else, uses the achievements of modern technology and the capabilities offered by fully customizable exoskeletons.

Another installment of the popular series of action games with RPG features. The series is developed by Capcom and its installments were usually released on Nintendo and Sony consoles. The plot isn’t very important in Monster Hunter World – the player simply assumes the role of the titular monster hunter who is tasked with exploring the mysterious continent known as the New World. There he kills powerful beasts as part of bounty contracts.

An action RPG set in a fantasy universe, developed by Polish studio Reality Pump, previously known for its RTS series Earth. The story of Two Worlds is set in the realm of Antaloor, where a long-lasting peace gets disturbed when a mysterious temple is found, assumed to be the tomb of the god of war Aziraal. Upon learning about that, hordes of orcs launch a bloody crusade against those who desecrate the tomb of their former leader.

The popular FPS series, dating back to 8-bit computers (1981's Castle Wolfenstein), returns after a few years of absence. As the official owner of the franchise, Activision decided that the game would be created by Raven Software, the company known for Quake IV or the Soldier of Fortune series. Once again, the player assumes the role of B.J. Blazkowicz, who is trying to stop the Nazis and prevent them from inventing a secret weapon known as Black Sun.

The second DLC expansion for Mount & Blade: Warband - an action-RPG sandbox game. Viking Conquest is set in Britain and Scandinavia, focusing on the conquests of the titular Vikings. Similar to the previous, "Napoleonic" expansion, the creators were inspired by a fan-made modification Brytenwalda - they improved it with the help of its original creators.

Bounty Train is an economic strategy developed by a small Canadian studio Corbie Games. The game takes place in USA during the second part of the 19th century. We play as a soon-to-be railroad magnate and our job is to accomplish the tasks we are given that focus on transporting cargo. We begin by piecing our train together and hiring employees: from train drivers controlling our engine to gunmen who will guard our precious cargo from robbers.

An advanced off-road truck simulator – Spintires: MadRunner is an enhanced version of Spintires. The game has been published by Focus Home Interactive and allows the player to drive various vehicles designed for extreme road conditions. Throughout the game, one can modify the available machines (the MadRunner edition features 13 new vehicles) and install new parts. The game delivers several large open maps located across Siberia, waiting for the player to explore.

A psychological first-person horror from the Polish developer studio Bloober Team, known best for another horror game, entitled Layers of Fear. Observer is set in a cyberpunk universe, in Cracow of 2048. In the game you play as Daniel Lazarski (starred by Rutger Hauer, known from the film Blade Runner), a detective able to hack into people’s minds.

A sequel to 2008's Battlefield: Bad Company - an acclaimed shooter game. Again, the game was created by DICE - a Swedish developer belonging to Electronic Arts. In the story campaign, the player is acquainted with further adventures of the titular Bad Company.

A sequel to the bestselling Test Drive Unlimited - a game that managed to reinvigorate the classic racing series launched by the Accolade company in 1987. The game is set in two locations, namely the islands of Ibiza (Spain) and Oahu (Hawaii) - the latter appeared in the first Test Drive Unlimited where it is accessible later in the game. The player can freely explore both islands, taking on subsequent racing challenges.

Total Overdose is an expanded action/TPP game, referring to the atmosphere and performance of the Grand Theft Auto series (the main character is a heartwood with a dark past) and the first part of the film hit "Desperado". (a plot centred around the Latin American community).

Zuma's Revenge is a PopCap Games-produced logical-arcade game with the title frog in the lead role. Players are supposed to hit the balls spit out by a funny amphibian in the balls moving along the twisted track. The creators of the game have prepared four variants of fun and several dozens of boards kept in the Aztec atmosphere.

A complex remake of the iconic game Jagged Alliance 2, developed by Coreplay. The game builds on a non-linear campaign that takes the players to a fictional country of Arulco ruled with an iron fist by Queen Deidranna, who came up with a scheme and deprived Enrico Chivaldori - the player’s employer - of his rightful crown. As one might easily guess, the player is tasked with ending this reign of terror and shooting the usurper down in flames.

Another installment in the bestselling Medal of Honor series. This entry is a reboot of the saga, and for the first time in history it takes place in modern times. The game was created by Danger Close studio in cooperation with EA Dice. The former created the single player mode, the latter developed multiplayer mode. In the game the player assumes the roles of two members of elite American forces, Tier 1 and US Rangers. Both teams support each other during the missions.

A tactical RTS set during World War II that expands on the Men of War franchise. It was developed by Barbed Wire studio, known for its modifications to both games from Men of War: Assault Squad series. Gates of Hell gives us a wide view on the war, taking us on battlefields of all years and fronts: from snowy plains of USSR to sun-scorched sands of Africa. Gameplay is focused on the tactical layer, without any form of resource gathering or base building.

A third-person action game set in a fantasy world inspired by Celtic mythology. Title was developed by the British studio Ninja Theory, known for Enslaved, Heavenly Sword, and DMC: Devil May Cry. In the game we traverse a dark, mythical world, full of references to popular stories, characters, and monsters born in the imagination of the Celts. Protagonist of the game is a female warrior named Senua, who embarks on a dangerous journey to the land of the dead.

A survival sandbox, in which the player assumes the role of a dinosaur. The Isle Development Team enabled the player to control creatures like Austroraptor, Carnotaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Gallimimus, Utahraptor, Acrocanthosaurus and Allosaurus. The main and only objective of the game is to survive on an island the size of more than a dozen of square kilometers. Depending on the selected creature, the player must hunt for smaller dinosaurs, hide in bushes from predators etc.
