Pax Nova

Pax Nova is a turn-based 4X strategy game developed by Grey Wolf Entertainment, the team responsible for the RTS title Dawn of Andromeda. The production was released by Iceberg Interactive, also known for such titles as Endless Legend, Endless Space or the Starpoint Gemini series.

Plot

Pax Nova takes us on a journey into the distant future. As a result of increasing environmental pollution and constant wars, the Earth is becoming increasingly unsuitable for life. Searching for a new home, mankind decides to respond to an invitation from the edge of the universe and go to the planet Eos, thus entering a new era called Pax Nova.

Mechanics

Pax Nova enables us to take control of one of the fifteen available factions functioning among three races. The game consists of exploring subsequent planetary systems, facing various threats (hostile factions, through space pirates, to monsters living in interstellar space), as well as gradual territory expansion. We can increase our influence not only through conquest, but also through diplomacy.

The struggle takes place both in space and on procedurally generated, hexagon-covered surfaces of planets, each with its own biomes, inhabitants, as well as separate challenges and secrets waiting to be discovered. The title offers rich possibilities of modification of individual vessels and ships, as well as the extensive technological tree.

Technical aspects

Like Dawn of Andromeda, Pax Nova boasts both aesthetically pleasing three-dimensional graphics and a user-friendly interface.
