Want It!

A city-builder devoid of combat, set in the times of Ancient Rome. In Pax Augusta we build our ancient city from scratch, playing the role of a governor and completing emperor's tasks. The game puts a lot of focus on historical realism and attention to detail.

Pax Augusta is a city builder developed by Swiss developer Roger Gassmann, in which we undertake the construction of an ancient city under the watchful eye of Roman emperors. In order to lend authenticity, the creator visited many museums and read a lot of books on ancient Rome.

Historical realities

Pax Augusta Campaign is based on the writings of the Roman historian Tacitus, who lived at the turn of the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D., and offers historically mapped units and buildings (excluding the color issue). The game's architecture includes traditional baths, sprawling fora, bustling markets and countless places of worship, among others. The title is also characterized by its attention to detail, for example, depicting the Colosseum as containing standing places for the poor and slaves.
