Passpartout: The Starving Artist
Release Date: June 6, 2017
Simulation, economic, adventure elements, life sim, indie games, experimental/artistic, singleplayer
An original production in which the player plays the title artist trying to earn money for wine and baguettes by selling paintings he has painted. The title allows us to create these works by hand, without imposing any restrictions on what is to be found on them. However, while having fun, it is worth taking into account the varied tastes of art connoisseurs who are our customers.

Passpartout: The Starving Artist Description
Passpartout: The Starving Artist is a game combining adventure game and life simulation, developed by the independent studio Flamebait Games.
Story
In Passpartout: The Starving Artist, players take on the role of a French painter who tries to earn a living (wine and baguettes specifcally) by selling the works he creates. The story depicted in three acts is full of humor, but it does not lack references to politics and pop culture.
Mechanics
The overriding element of Passpartout: The Starving Artist is painting pictures. The game gives us a modest set of tools (two types of brushes and spray and a basic palette of colors), with the help of which we create our works. The title does not limit what we have to paint - they can be landscapes, portraits, still lifes, or even abstract sketches of geometric figures; of course, we can give our paintings any name we see fit.
Nevertheless, the key to success is to match the diverse tastes of art connoisseurs who are our customers - for example, some will not like the colors we choose, others will like the brush size, while others will appreciate the length of subsequent strokes. It is somewhat complicated by the fact that, as in life, once painted, the line cannot be undone.
Technical aspects
Three-dimensional visuals of Passpartout: The Starving Artist present a decent level, relying on a pleasing cartoonish style. The game features a catchy soundtrack composed by Synkronosaurus.
