Partia: The Broken Lineage, released on AND and iOS, is a mobile tactical RPG. The game was developed by Imago Software studio and released as a premium product, meaning it has no microtransactions.

Plot

The action of Partia: The Broken Lineage takes place in a fantasy land known as Partia, dominated by the human race after it had won the war with orcs and elves a few thousand years earlier. The majority of the campaign revolves around the problems of the kingdom of Grana. This monarchy has existed for only a few decades, which was marked by continuous expansion thanks to the talents of King Valdemar and then stagnation during the reign of his son. The death of the son leads to a civil war between his heirs. The firstborn has the law on his side, but the younger one is supported by the people. The plot focuses on this conflict - instead of a classic story about saving the world, Partia: The Broken Lineage focuses on political and military games.

Mechanics

The campaign in Partia: The Broken Lineage consists of a long series of fights. Between the battles, we reach different cities, where we can access mechanics typical for classic RPGs, e.g. explore the areas, visit shops, develop skills of by paying trainers the money and accumulated experience points, test our skills in the arenas, or complete quests.

However, we spend the majority of our time on turn-based fights. Maps are large both in size and scale - instead of classic RPG fights, we often participate in small battles. Extensive combat mechanics and a large variety of units and mission objectives mean that the clashes aren't boring even after long hours of fun.

Another feature of Partia: The Broken Lineage is that characters who die in combat are lost forever. We can either come to terms with their loss, or we can replay the whole battle.
