Paper Dolls 2 is a sequel to the survival horror game released in 2019. It was developed by the authors of the original, the Chinese studio Beijing Litchi Culture Media.
The main character of Paper Dolls 2 is Yang Ming Yuan, known from the first installment. Tormented by nightmares, the man had a car accident, after which his daughter disappeared without a trace and he found himself in a gloomy mansion. As it turned out, it was the old residence of the Yin family. Years ago, there were rumors that terrible things happened there, and these rumors were confirmed by the mysterious disappearance of the entire mansion after several months of heavy rain. Wanting to find his missing daughter and leave the place as soon as possible, Yang had to go ahead and investigate the mysteries of this place overrun by ghosts. We learn more about his murderous journey in this game.
In Paper Dolls 2 we observe the action from first person perspective (FPP). During the game we explore the gloomy mansion, solve various puzzles and avoid traps. Moreover, in the mansion lurk many aggressive ghosts, with which we can fight, making use of cold weapons or firearms. During confrontations with more powerful creatures or in moments when we are defenseless (for example, because we ran out of ammunition) there is no other choice but to escape or sneak up behind the enemies' backs. As we progress, we gradually uncover the secrets of the mansion and gain more shreds of information about the events that took place here years ago.
Paper Dolls 2 runs on Unreal Engine technology. The game takes good advantage of the engine's capabilities, pleasing the eye with detailed designs of locations and detailed models of enemies.
