A spin-off of the car arcade series, inspired by racing games from the sixth generation of consoles. In Pako Highway you get behind the wheel of a car and speed through dense traffic, trying to get as far as possible.
Pako Highway is a spin-off of the car arcade series launched in 2014. This time Tree Men Games studio gives us a title inspired by racing games that triumphed on the sixth generation of consoles.
Mechanics
In Pako Highway we observe the action from behind the car or from above its hood. We sit behind the wheel of the chosen car and we flash ahead in the dense traffic, trying to get as far as possible before the countdown ends. Avoiding other vehicles "to the thickness of the paint", we earn points and charge the nitro. The latter is activated automatically; after activating it, we get the ability to eliminate cars passed along the way, and we are rewarded with extra seconds for each car destroyed. When the countdown comes to an end or when we collide with another vehicle before the nitro is activated, the fun is over, while we have no choice but to start another run.
As we progress, we gain funds, which we can use to buy new and better cars and cosmetic add-ons for them, as well as to unlock more routes.
Technical aspects
Pako Highway features simple, but clear and atmospheric graphics inspired by cult racing games from the times when the PlayStation 2 indivisibly ruled the console market. The game takes place to the accompaniment of one of the radio stations; lovers of electronic sounds in particular will find something for themselves here.
