Pako: Car Chase Simulator Description
Pako: Car Chase Simulator is an arcade racing game developed by the independent team of Tree Men Games. The title was release on mobile devices, and over time it has been ported to PC.
Story
The story layer in Pako: Car Chase Simulator is on the second place when it comes to importance. The player takes on the role of a thug, fleeing from the law but we never learn about the circumstances due to which the anonymous protagonist found himself targeted by defenders of justice.
Mechanics
In Pako: Car Chase Simulator action is shown in an isometric view. The heart of the fun is to avoid police chase as long as possible. The task is not the easiest one, because after some time on our tail hang not only police cars but also tanks, while the struggle ends when there is a collision with an element of the environment or with another vehicle.
Luckily, we are not defenseless in the battle against law enforcement officers - we often find power-ups that give us an advantage over our opponents (their extensive list includes, among other things, time slowdown and car enlargement). Moreover, there is nothing to prevent us from using a firearm, shooting one of the ten available types of ammunition (e.g. plasma and poisonous cartridges).
The game takes place in various locations (such as a shopping center, cemetery, highway or even an ice rink), where we can smasha around in one of the dozen or so vehicles; apart from ordinary cars, there is also a place for more imaginative vehicles like a Zamboni, i.e. an ice resurfacer.
Game modes
Regardless of the platform, our activities in Pako: Car Chase Simulator are rated by a scoring system, evaluating our achievements on an ongoing basis - its results can be boasted on online leaderboards. In addition, the PC version features a local multiplayer mode, enabling us to have fun together on a split-screen with up to three players.
Technical aspects
Visuals of Pako: Car Chase Simulator are simple, although it may find some fans, mainly due to its attractive cel-shading style. It is complemented by a soundtrack composed by a Finnish musician known as DKSTR.
