Outpost Kaloki is an attempt by NinjaBee's development team to take a humorous approach to games of the tycoon genus. The action takes place in a distant galaxy. The player takes on the role of the head of a company providing services for aliens weary of travel. His task is to develop a modest business into a powerful and well-known company in all corners of the Universe.
The main campaign in Outpost Kaloki consists of 14 scenarios. The plot focuses on rescuing a princess kidnapped by cosmic villains. During the game, the player travels faraway corners of the Galaxy inhabited by 7 alien races with different tastes and needs, which must be satisfied.
The game is based on mechanisms commonly found in tycoon strategies. The main role in the game is played by two raw materials - money and energy. "Dollars" can be obtained by taking in space guests, but the speed, quality and customization of the service have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and the amount of bills. The funds raised can be invested in 45 types of improvements grouped into 5 categories. However, every extension requires an adequate amount of energy.
In addition to the main campaign mode, the game also offers several individual scenarios and free play mode. The relatively low level of difficulty of individual missions and a simple user interface are a tribute to casual players.
Outpost Kaloki's visual setting is maintained in cartoon style, which emphasizes the humorous character of the game.
