Out of Action Description
Out of Action is an FPS set in a brutal cyberpunk universe. The game was developed by the independent studio Doku Games and is their debut project.
Mechanics
In Out of Action we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The character we control has a wide range of movements. He can, among other things, throw himself forward and slide, dodge, jump towards enemies, disarm them by removing their weapons, and stun them, reducing their combat abilities for a short while.
Moreover, we can activate a so-called Core which slows down the time (in multiplayer mode, it works only in a limited area). In addition to the Core, the game offers other useful gadgets, such as a scanner and radar revealing the positions of enemies (you can only use the former while remaining motionless), as well as a nanowire that allows to interact with targets and objects from a safe distance.
The Core's power is charged by killing enemies; the more spectacularly we do it, the faster it regenerates. We eliminate enemies by making use of a wide range of firearms (which can be modified to suit individual preferences) and melee weapons. At the same time, we can have two types of weapons with us - primary and backup. Interestingly, it is not only the hits themselves that cause damage to health; our health points can also be drained by negative effects such as bleeding or burns, which can be dealt with using first aid kits.
Game modes
Out of Action can be played alone, but the title truly shines in online multiplayer mode.
Technical aspects
The graphics of Out of Action were created using cel-shading technique and they maintain a style inspired by 90s anime. The game is very brutal and you can, among other things, cut off enemy limbs.
