ORION: Dino Horde for PC is the third installment in the FPS shooter game series by Spiral Game Studios. The game closely follows its predecessor, ORION: Dino Beatdown, which can be upgraded to ORION: Dino Horde by downloading an update.
Plot
The game is set in a science-fiction world. The players take on the roles of space marines, who are sent to a distant planet inhabited by dinosaurs. The main focus of the game is exterminating the deadly reptiles with various kinds of weapons.
Mechanics
The gameplay was created mostly with the online co-op mode in mind. The game introduces five new game modes for up to 10 players, including Rampage, a mode in which you can play as a dinosaur.
Compared to its predecessor, ORION: Dino Horde features e.g. new maps, more varied enemies (7 new species of dinosaurs), a wider range of weaponry and vehicles, the option to get implants, which enhance your character's abilities, and 100 Steam achievements to unlock.
Technical aspects
In comparison to Dino Beatdown, Dino Horde features e.g. enhanced AI, a modified graphics engine, new lighting system, and more realistic character animations. The game also includes a new searcher for multiplayer servers.
