A game inspired by 16-bit classics and developed by Coffee Powered Machine. Okhlos combines elements of action games with features associated with the roguelike genre. The player takes on the role of an ancient philosopher who's task is to lead crowds of angry Greeks to battle against mythological gods. The game is played from an isometric view and noticeably, offers pixel-art visuals.

Okhlos for PC is a retro-styled action game that imitates old 16-bit productions. It was enriched with elements associated with the roguelike genre. The player's goal here is to lead crowds of angry ancient Greeks against the gods of Olympus and mythological creatures – their servants. Okhlos was created by two gamemakers belonging to Coffee Powered Machine - an independent, Argentinian team. This is the studio's second game, after Gravity Fleet (iOS) - a logic game set in space.

Mechanics

The game offers levels set in eight Greek polis – a scenario connected with Greek myths awaits the player in each of those. The in-game locations are procedurally generated, but a special emphasis was placed on characters the player meets. The player is required to defeat twelve gods of Olympus supported by mythological creatures, such as giants, cyclopes or gorgons.
