Ogniem i mieczem / With Fire and Sword is a turn-based strategy inspired by Henryk Sienkiewicz's novel and its film adaptation directed by Jerzy Hoffman. The player commands the Polish-Lithuanian army in 10 historical battles from the period of the Cossack uprisings. The title was produced by Nekrosoft studio, known from controversial Reserve Dogs.

With fire and sword is an adaptation of the first part of the Sienkiewicz trilogy. The game was produced as a result of the commercial success of a film directed by Jerzy Hoffman. The development was entrusted to the Nekrosoft development team (Reserve Dogs, Toxic Mayhem: The Troma Project).

The main campaign allows you to play the role of the hetman of the armies of the Republic of Both Nations and take part in 10 battles from the period of the 17th-century Cossack uprisings. It is complemented by 8 individual scenarios.

The game allows you to command 25 types of units headed by the famous Polish Hussars. Game mechanics is based on turn-based system with division into phases of movement and attack. Talented strategists have the opportunity to prove their skills. The creators made it possible to win even in skirmishes which, according to history, ended in defeats.
