Of Kings and Men

Of Kings and Men for PC is an online action game in which you participate in medieval wars. It is the production by Donkey Crew, founded on the popular cRPG mod for Mount & Blade Warband.

Mechanics

Of Kings and Men is set in the 13th century Europe. The game features only a multiplayer mode, recreating medieval wars on a large scale. As many as 200 players can participate in a single battle, and their results can impact the situation of everyone involved. You can join various factions, gather resources for them, and take part in territorial conflicts with the enemy kingdoms. There are many combat modes, such as one-on-one skirmishes, team deathmatch, quick battles and Conquest, known from FPS games. During the battles, your characters gather experience and silver, which allows you to get better weapons and armour, and fill your faction treasury and fund e.g. new fortifications. Your character's equipment and abilities carry over even after a finished battle. The gameplay is divided into months-long rounds, and when they end, the overall situation and the characters' abilities are reset; you only keep your achievements and honour stats, which describe your deeds.
