OddPlanet PC
Side-scrolled adventure game with elements of arcade 2D platformer. The player directs the actions of a little girl whose cosmic capsule crashed on an unknown planet. His task is to safely guide the heroine through the levels.
OddPlanet is the work of Piotr Krol and Sever Hrehorowicz, a developer's tandem. The authors' ambition was to create an unconventional adventure with an interesting plot theme, intriguing riddles and attractive graphic design.
The main character of the game is a little girl, whose space capsule emergency landed on a newly discovered planet. A place full of bizarre plants and creatures seems to be both frightening and fascinating. The player's task is to help the protagonist survive in an unfriendly environment.
In the course of the game, the player travels through successive locations, where there is no shortage of dangers and puzzles to unravel. The gameplay is distinguished by its ability to interact with many elements of the environment, as well as a first-person narration - during the game the heroine comments on her actions and situations in which she finds herself.
OddPlanet features intuitively simple controls. The level of difficulty of the tasks set for the player has been set so that it is a challenge both for occasional players, as well as those more experienced.
The game is distinguished by a very atmospheric visual setting, in which you can see a clear inspiration for Limbo and the Oddworld series. The two-dimensional graphics are dominated by black and half-shadows, complemented by slightly brighter elements of the image, such as fluorescent plants and pale glow. Attention is drawn to the background music composed by Simon Heath, the creator of the project Atrium Carceri, as well as acting dubbing performed by Alanny O'Brien.
