Oddly Enough: Pied Piper is an adventure game produced by Alawar Entertainment, addressed to a wide range of customers from the so-called casual market. The story refers to the popular legend about the flutist from Hameln. The player plays the role of a tax collector, whose task is to collect the money needed to redeem children abducted by a rat.

Oddly Enough: Pied Piper is an attempt to egranize the German folklore, known primarily through one of the fairy tales of the brothers Grimm. Challenges were taken up by Alawar Entertainment development studio, creating a game designed for a slightly more ambitious group of casual market audience (occasional players).

The story of Oddly Enough: Pied Piper refers to the events presented in the legend. The action takes place in a small town of Hameln. Inhabitants plagued by the plague of rats rented a rat who, thanks to the music from the magic flute, managed to lure rodents outside the city walls and drown them in the nearby river. Unfortunately, greedy bourgeoisie refused him the promised payment for the work he did. In retaliation, the player led all the children out of town.
