Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm 2 for iOS and PC is an action RPG and a sequel to the 2013 mobile game Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas that was later also released on PC. It was developed by a small Finnish studio Cornfox & Bros. Their previous productions include Death Rally created in cooperation with Remedy Entertainment.

The Plot

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm 2 takes place in the same fantasy world as the previous game of the series. We play as a young ambitious boy who trains very hard in order to become a Knight of Arcadia.

Mechanics

Action in Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm 2 for iOS and PC is presented from a third-person perspective. In terms of gameplay, Oceanhorn 2 is visibly inspired by the Legend of Zelda series. Many of the series’ characteristic elements, like the treasure-filled dungeons or equipment management, were implemented here. We will also explore more various areas than in the first game. We use a typical world map, like in many jRPGs, to move between them.

As we play, we will have to solve various logical riddles and puzzles and do various quests given to us by NPCs. Combat is arcade. In battle, we can use cold steel weapons and a pistol that fires magical bullets. As in many games of the genre, we will fight with powerful bosses.

Technical Aspects

When it comes to visuals, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm 2 for iOS and PC is a big step foraward. The game has a beatufiul and colourful 3D world and a climatic soundtrack.
