Nostalgic Train is an exploration adventure game that takes us to the Japanese province of the 1960s. The game was developed by Tatamibeya studio.
Plot
Nostalgic Train takes us on a journey to Natsugiri. Although this Japanese village seems unusually peaceful and picturesque, it hides a dark secret - all its inhabitants disappeared in mysterious circumstances. After arriving on an empty train, we have to explore the village, trying to solve its mysteries. We also try to find answers to questions about ourselves.
Mechanics
In Nostalgic Train the action was shown from the first person perspective (FPP). The gameplay scheme is not particularly complicated. During the game we explore Natsugiri and observe the environment. With time, we gain more and more information about the events that took place here in the past, and we also learn various things about the character we play.
Game modes
Nostalgic Train can only be played solo. The game includes two game modes. The first, Two Flickers at the End of the Trip, is a story mode, while the second, called Free Mode, allows us to freely explore Natsugiri.
Technical aspects
Nostalgic Train runs on Unreal Engine 4 technology. The game features high quality graphics (especially lush vegetation overgrowing the village), accompanied by a refined sound layer.
