Ninja Village Description
Ninja Village is a strategy game set in feudal Japan. It was developed by Kairosoft studio, the authors of such productions as Game Dev Story, Dungeon Village or Beastie Bay.
Plot
The action takes place in 16th century. Siogun lost most of his influence and as a result Japan plunged into internal conflicts. However, he has one last ace up his sleeve - his loyal clan of ninja warriors who are given the task of reuniting the Land of the Cherry Blossom.
Game mechanics
Ninja Village is a strategy game in which we manage a Ninja village. Our main goal is to train an army of these warriors and then use them to conquer rebellious provinces. War, however, is not cheap, so to be successful we also have to take care of the economic development of the village.
We recruit new settlers and send them to the village to construct buildings, produce food and gather resources and craft various items. We earn mainly by selling goods to travelers visiting our village.
In addition to the settlers, we also have to train the Ninja warriors themselves, transforming them into a regular army. The player can assign them to different units, such as infantry or cavalry and equip them with various weapons, including firearms.
These troops are then put into battles against rebellious warlords. Clashes are mostly automatic and their result depends on what forces we direct to fight. Victories restore the region under the control of the Shogunate and provide additional resources and settlers, allowing us to develop the settlement.
Game modes
The game offers only single player mode.
Technical aspects
Ninja Village features a charming 2D graphics made in a retro convention full of large pixels.
