Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Description
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a spin-off of the Ninja Gaiden series, realized in the form of an action platformer. This project is the result of a collaboration between The Game Kitchen and Dotemu studios, as well as Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo, who are responsible for the development of the series.
Story
The story presented in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound begins with Ryu Hayabusa's departure to the United States. In the absence of the main character of the series, who decided to fulfill his father's last wish, his home village falls victim to an attack by demons passing through a gap in the barrier separating their realm from the world of humans. A new hero must face the threat – Kenji Mozu.
Gameplay
In terms of mechanics, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is closer to the first games under the Ninja Gaiden banner, released between 1988-1992, rather than the later installments of the series, created by Team Ninja since 2004.
We watch the action from the side, and the gameplay mainly involves facing arcade challenges and fighting opponents. While visiting various locations, we jump on platforms, avoid traps, and also engage in dynamic duels with opponents. Mozu eliminates enemies primarily the help of his katana. Among the enemies, powerful bosses lead the way, but in most situations we have to face waves of ordinary enemies.
Graphics
The graphic design Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound was done in pixel art technique.
