Niko: Through The Dream is an intriguing adventure game with minimalistic, dreamlike graphics. It was developed by Paint for PCs. In the game, the players try to solve puzzles to help the protagonist go back to the real world.
In Niko: Through The Dream, we travel through different islands. Each of those presents events of the protagonist’s life in a rather oniristic way. The game offers a differential gameplay mechanics that does not lack for all kinds of traps and other challenging logic puzzles. The challenges we have to face are based on various colors, shapes and sounds. Niko: Through The Dream sometimes requires us to pay great attention for it is the only way to see meaningful details of the story it presents.
The soundtrack adjusts to the situation, oscillating between merry, sad and even dark themes – all to stimulate the player’s imagination as much as possible. If we combine it with minimalistic, even raw, graphics characteristic of Portal series, the whole lets us really dive into the adventure.
