Night of the Dead is a survival game, in which we find ourselves in a world dominated by bloodthirsty zombies. The game was developed by Studio Jackto.

Plot

The main heroine of Night of the Dead game is Lucy. The woman underwent a mysterious experiment, after which she fell into a long coma. After waking up, the protagonist quickly discovers that the whole city was taken over by the living dead. The metropolis was cut off from the world, so the girl was locked in a deadly trap. Not everything is lost, however, as Lucy manages to make contact with a group of other survivors with whom she intends to escape from the closed zone. However, first she has to survive, which is difficult because at night her body emits a signal that attracts hordes of zombies.

Mechanics

In Night of the Dead the action is shown from the third person perspective (TPP). The game gives us a vast world that we can travel freely. The gameplay is divided into two segments.

During the daytime, we scour the area in search of useful items, clothes and weapons, as well as obtain the resources necessary to make new equipment and build various fortifications and traps. In addition, we get our food through cultivation of the land, hunting (at the same time we should beware of wandering predators like bears) or looting. Besides, we can look for clues to help us escape from the city.

At night, however, the island begins to swarm with zombies; although escape seems to be as good as defense with the use of various tools of murder (both cold and ranged weapons are in our hands, headed by a bow), in this way we will quickly let ourselves be surrounded and fall prey to hordes of zombies. Much better solution is therefore to set more and more fancy traps (over time we get access to, among others, rotating blades or spiked grids that are dropped on nothing unexpected), constructing reinforcements in the form of high palisades, and even building fully functional (and substantial) trebuchets.

Game modes

In Night of the Dead you can play alone or with other players. The multiplayer mode allows you to cooperate or play in PvP.

Technical aspects

Night of the Dead runs on the Unreal Engine 4 technology. However, the game does not look particularly impressive in terms of graphics and does not differ much from what we are used to by dozens of other survival games.
