Nickelodeon Dance, released on X360 and Wii, was developed by High Voltage Software and published by 2K Play. The game is addressed to young players, especially the fans of animations aired on Nickelodeon TV. The game was created in cooperation with professional children's dance choreographers.
Mechanics
The gameplay is based on elements typical for dance games. Subsequent moves are presented in the form of pictograms. However, their range has been adapted to the abilities of the children. In addition, players can show off their vocal skills by singing songs by following the lyrics displayed on the screen. The available game modes allow you to play with one or two people.
Game modes
Players have the opportunity to dance in the company of their favorite characters - Dora, Diego, The Backyardigans and members of The Fresh Beat band. The available game modes allow you to learn basic steps and dance sequences (Starting Steps), improve your skills (Smooth Moves) and free expression (Fancy Footwork).
Technical aspects
Nickelodeon Dance is characterized by a relatively simple, but aesthetical visuals and does not differ from the level presented in competing productions (e.g. Just Dance For Kids). The game's soundtrack consists of 30 songs, including those known from animations broadcast by Nickelodeon ( Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go! The Fresh Beat Band and others).
