NHL Hockey 95 is one of the first editions of a series of sports games started in the nineties, dealing with ice hockey. As part of the curiosity, it is worth mentioning that the described edition of 95 was released at the same time, among others, on the popular at that time Sega Genesis console. The game also boasts an official license from the National Hockey League, which brings together the best American hockey teams.
Version 95 has many completely new elements to offer, unknown to the owners of the previous version of this cycle. One of the most important improvements concerns the conclusion of a full season in which a series of hockey matches is being played. Depending on your preferences, you choose one of the ready-made teams, or create your own team from scratch, and for obvious reasons, the latter option is more interesting. The player has extensive editing tools, thanks to which he is able not only to determine the details of the appearance of the created hockey players, but also to modify the values describing their coefficients. Ready players or teams can be saved and then used in any way you like, by moving to the tournaments of your choice.
Another important change consists in taking into account a dozen or so new movements. These include spectacular games to confuse members of the opposing team, as well as more effective blocks for better defensive play. The NHL Hockey 95 features a fully modifiable level of difficulty. Less experienced players may, among other things, resign from complying with certain rules of this game, while the game's visitors will be interested in the improved AI of their opponents, compared to the previous edition.
The list of available play modes in addition to the above mentioned full season also includes single matches and multiplayer, offering support for up to four players. The NHL Hockey 95 visual luminaire is very simple. The competition is held in a two-dimensional environment, observed in isometric projection. The only significant changes in relation to the 94 edition concern the addition of new animations for controlled hockey players.
