Another entry in the popular hockey game series, developed by EA Sports. NHL 25 offers a number of changes, including much better animations of the players and a greatly improved artifical intelligence, making them more skilled on the hockey field.
NHL 25 is the thirty-fourth installment in the popular hockey sports game series. Just like the previous games, it was developed by EA Sports.
As one would expect from a hockey simulator, NHL 25 does not introduce revolutionary changes to the gameplay mechanics. The fun here is based on playing successive matches and leading our team to victory. Of course, during the game we can only control one player, but at any time we can switch to someone else.
The creators made sure to present the hockey games in the most realistic way possible. That's why they constantly introduce improvements that affect their quality. In NHL 25 technology known as ICE-Q plays a large role. Thanks to it, the artificial intelligence of the players on the field has significantly improved. They can now adapt to our tactics in a much better way. Additionally, character animations were also improved to make them more natural.
The game also features a function referred to as Grudge Match, which allows tracking the history of duels between specific teams.
NHL 25 features single player against AI and also online modes against other players. The creators decided once again to introduce some changes and they have rebuilt the Franchise Mode.
EA Sports made sure that NHL 25 offers the highest level of graphic quality. In this installment of the series SAPIEN technology was used, which allows for very accurate recreation of players.

IGN: 6 / 10 by Nicholas Ransbottom
There’s no denying that the action on the ice looks better than ever in NHL 25, and it’s nice to see Franchise Mode get some welcome changes that help it feel more authentic for those interested in the sim experience. But when I look at this year's entry as a whole it's quite lackluster.
GINX TV: 8 / 10 by Patches Chance
NHL 25 is the most visually stunning release this franchise has ever seen, and on-ice gameplay is an absolute blast. Franchise Mode was given a massive upgrade while HUT and WOC saw some solid improvements, but another year of neglecting Be A Pro leaves career mode players out in the cold.
Push Square: 5 / 10 by Graham Banas
NHL 25 isn't great. While there are welcome changes this time, almost all of them are cosmetic, or menu-oriented. Ultimately, that's what this iteration amounts to: a hyper-fixation on presentational components. Where are the new game modes? Improvements to the controls? Sure the game looks great, but wouldn't it be awesome if it played great as well?
