Nexuiz is a three-dimensional shooter, dedicated to multiplayer deathmatch mode. The whole was based on the modernized source code of the first part of the Quake cycle and set in the climates of science fiction.

Nexuiz Classic is a game developed by a group of multiplayer action game enthusiasts. It is a 3D shooter dedicated to deathmatch online gameplay, powered by a modernized Quake I engine.

Up to 64 players may participate in virtual combat. Matches take place on 20 different arenas. The game offers a bunch of original weapons with which we exterminate our foes. The players also get to choose one of 15 character models. It is noteworthy that matches are very quick-paced and dynamic, so boredom is not an option.

The game environment is powered by Darkplaces engine which is an advanced modification of the Quake I engine. It was created by Forest “LordHavoc” Hale. Its biggest advantages are Quake3bsp format and Md3/Md2 models support. Moreover, dynamic light and shadows, as well as over a thousand 32-bit TGA textures, make a nice impression. Undoubtedly, the fact that the game and its source code (GPL) are entirely free is also a huge advantage.
