Next Day: Survival is a third-person perspective action game in which the players are trying to survive in a harsh, radioactive region located in Eastern Europe. The game features some RPG traits like a crafting system, skills development and a system that traits reputation among various factions. The game was developed by SOFF Games.

Plot

Next Day: Survival takes place in a fictional country located in Eastern Europe. The area was contaminated by an extremely toxic fog that makes it impossible to live normally.

Mechanics

Next Day: Survival is an action game with RPG traits. The players are exploring a three-dimensional environment and they complete quests received from non-playable characters. They are gathering items, fighting and gradually developing the skills of their character. The main task of the game is simply to survive in the dangerous environment. Achieving success requires paying attention to protagonist’s health (managed by a complex system) and taking advantage of an advanced crafting mechanic.

The game also features a reputation system that enables the protagonist to shape relations with various factions existing in the game’s world. Next Day: Survival features a wide variety of melee weapons, guns and vehicles that can be used by the players.

Game modes

Although Next Day: Survival is a title focused on multiplayer mode, it also features a singleplayer mode and a PvE mode for those who aren’t fond of competing with others.

Technical aspects

Next Day: Survival features a three-dimensional graphics that meet the modern standards. Some objects in the environment (for example, grass) and a realistic lighting system are worth praising.
