Taxi simulator: New York is a simulation game produced by an independent studio Little Freedom Factory. The player plays the role of a New York taxi driver, and his task is to carry passengers safely and as quickly as possible to the specified areas of the American metropolis.

Taxi simulator: New York is a proposal of the Little Freedom Factory development team addressed to people who would like to get to know New York from the perspective of a driver of a characteristic yellow taxi.

The player plays the role of a beginner taxi driver, who tries to gain popularity among customers and recognition in the eyes of his colleagues. However, the career of a professional driver is not easy. The city never falls asleep, and its streets are always full of various types of vehicles.

During the game, the player can try their hand at the wheel of three taxi models, each of which differs in appearance and technical parameters (maximum speed, turning radius, acceleration, etc.). The applied physics model has been significantly simplified, combined with the lack of a system of destruction prefers to play in an arcade style.

The creators, however, took care of a large variety of tasks based on three ways of rewarding, as well as a vast area of the virtual metropolis of New York, where the game takes place. The impression of realism in urban traffic is intensified by the possibility of selecting one of the six camera settings, including the camera from behind the wheel (FPP).

From the visual side Taxi simulator: New York is far below modern standards in this kind of games. Scarce in details, three-dimensional graphics and "angular" car models leave no illusions about the low-budget character of the production, which is definitely addressed to less demanding customers.
