A puzzle game in which we try to find the exit from more than 60 rooms in the shape of a cube. At first, the game requires that we simply turn the levels (thanks to which we can access the ceilings or walls) but with time we face more and more difficult challenges.
Neverout is the fruit of cooperation between the independent Polish Setapp studio and the Gamedust company. The title in question is a logic game, the subject matter of which may evoke associations with the film Cube.
In Neverout the action is shown from the first person perspective (FPP). The game consists of more than sixty puzzles that revolve around reaching the exit from a room in the shape of a cube. The surface of each of these cubes is covered with square fields, and the movement of our character is based on jumping from one field to the next; when we reach the wall, we can turn the level in such a way as to make it the floor.
Although the first puzzles are not much of a challenge, with time things start to get complicated. Solving further puzzles requires, e.g. the use of metal boxes (including movable boxes, which we stop by using switches) and the use of teleporters; moreover, we need to be mindful of the increasingly sophisticated traps, such as electric fields and rusty spikes.
Neverout has three-dimensional graphics of a decent quality. The PC version requires both virtual reality goggles and motion controllers in order to run.

Game Ratings for Neverout Video Game.
Nindie Spotlight: 7.5 / 10 by Nindie Spotlight
In the end you’ll either embrace what Neverout is looking to offer with its more than 60 levels of first-person puzzling or you won’t. I can absolutely say that I’ve never played anything quite like it in general, let alone on the Switch, and though there are levels I was able to pretty easily work through there were others that gave me pause. Working through some solutions takes some trial and error as you work out how everything needs to be arranged but completing those levels then tends to be quite satisfying. If you can deal with the odd controls, and would like a new perspective on puzzling (literally), Neverout is a welcome change of pace.
Chalgyr's Game Room: 7.8 / 10 by Pierre-Yves Lanthier
While most of us would be content with four walls and a roof, what if you were trapped inside six walls with a hatch that only led to another box with six walls? While the former lends to a sense of peace and protection the other creates a prison and when one set continuously leads to another it imbues a sense of dread and despair as you feel like you've never get out.
TheSixthAxis: 7 / 10 by Tuffcub
Neverout takes a simple premise and packs it into a small package. With just a few hours of playtime, it doesn't outstay its welcome, but there's not much variation to the puzzles and it could have done with a story. Puzzle fiends should definitely take a look, especially if they own a VR headset.
