The production is kept in a horror atmosphere and tells the story of a small village of Hinamizawa, which in June 1983 became the scene of a series of brutal murders. By solving subsequent riddles and making moral choices, the protagonist tries to discover the truth about other members of the group in which he found himself, and to explain the motives behind the mysterious Zero.

Lux-Pain is a manga adventure written in a manga convention by the Japanese Killaware team. Of course, it has been adapted to the capabilities of DSa and most of the actions are performed in it using a style. In the process of creating the game took part people well known to Japanese animation fans - composer Kenji Ito and animator Robin Kishiwada.
